There are so many ways a parent can engage and share knowledge of their child’s development.

Below are just a few examples:

  • Join us with your Health Visitor for your child’s 2 year development check
  • Add comments and photographs to your child Learning Journey, or our ‘WOW’ wall
  • Attend 2 induction visits before your child starts nursery
  • Attend party days, open days, and ‘Stay and Play’ days we hold throughout the year
  • Verbally share any information when you bring and collect your child
  • Stay up to date by visiting our  Facebook page for updates on our activities during the week
  • Share information and ideas with us for ‘Topic Weeks’
  • Add to our ‘Parent’s Comment Book’ during the year

How we engage with families:

  • We will regularly add to your child’s Learning Journal to record their development and interests
  • We complete daily slips and verbal updates for you when you collect your child at the end of their visit
  • We hold parents evenings throughout the year, along with termly updates on your child development
  • When your child is ready for school, we complete their Transition Report. This enables their teacher to see what level they are currently working at so they can support your child more effectively when they start school
